Melissa McKnight was elected Assessor of Grant County in 2015. She brings extensive experience in assessment administration, data integrity and public records, with a strong emphasis on consistent valuation practices and operational efficiency. Prior to becoming Assessor, she worked in District Court and spent eight years helping establish and manage the Grant County Public Records Division, giving her a deep understanding of compliance, documentation standards, and cross-departmental workflows.
As Assessor, Melissa has focused on developing and implementing clear policies, standardized procedures and auditing protocols to ensure accurate data entry and reliable assessment outcomes. She recently oversaw the conversion of the office’s CAMA system to PACS giving her practical experience directly relevant to PACS users.
