Lorrie Kuss
Chief Deputy - Clallam County Assessor's Office
Lorrie Kuss has worked in the Clallam County Assessor’s Office since 1989, beginning as an extra-help employee and building a career spanning more than 35 years in assessment administration and property tax operations. She currently serves as Chief Deputy Assessor, a position she has held since March 2014.
Earlier in her career, Lorrie served as an appraisal clerk, where she was responsible for maintaining all mobile home records in the county, processing destroyed properties, administering senior exemption programs, managing splits and merges, and entering and maintaining building data used by appraisal staff.
Lorrie has extensive hands-on experience with Washington State property tax levies, exemptions, current use programs, and assessment administration. She played a key role in Clallam County’s implementation of the PACS assessment system in 2009 and was one of the lead users during its rollout, developing deep functional knowledge of the software and its application to assessment and levy processes. Known for her adaptability and willingness to embrace change, she has consistently served as a technical and procedural resource for staff.
